Here's The Deal-i-o...

It has been brought to my attention that I have a problem.
Okay, many problems, but one REALLY URGENT one.

(Besides the fact that I am out of Depends, DeNae. FOCUS.)
In all my joy of attaining my new place of residence and all the moving etc.....

I have not given any thought to the fact that I am trading in my garage door for sheet rock and shingles!
MY BLOG TITLE IS NO LONGER RELEVANT!!!!!

*GASP*

This will not do, this will not do AT ALL.

So.......

I am going to have a contest.

All you have to do is come up with the best blog title ever for my *new* blog.

It's very important you know.

I look at it every day.

Sometimes more than once a day.

It's so important that the winner gets a .............................
$50 Gift card from Amazon or any of the other cards they carry!!

So hurry up--dazzle me!! Enter as many titles as you want. Tell as many people as you want--as a matter of fact...............

If you post about this on your blog I will put your name in a basket to be drawn from on September 22. And the winner of that draw will win a...............................

$25 gift certificate from Amazon or any of the other stores they carry cards for

SO let's re cap-----title entries ---I will just be picking my fav...enter as often as you wish...dazzle....dazzle....bedazzle.....;..
Contest ends September 22, 2010

A plug on your blog=an entry in the drawing...so only one entry..just let me know in a comment so I can come see..or something like that...

I shall await your extreme talents and go finish my packing and garage and new house posts. Not necessarily in that order. UGh--moving...........

I kinda like your blog title.
I guess I didn't realize you really lived in a garage.

I notice at the front entry of your house the beams. I quite love them.
How 'bout "Beams and Things"
or
"Shouting Below the Shingles" (not that I think you shout)
or
"Saved by the Shingles"
or
"Sanity under the Shingles"
or
"Shingles Sweet Shingles"
(hopefully that won't lead people to believe that a case of Herpes Zoster is fun)

OK, I'm plum outta ideas on accounta I gots to head off to a meeting.

I may be back though.
Be afraid, be vewy afraid.

I will think about it and come back. You know we're gonna want a photographic tour of the place on your blog!

PS- please let Taelor know I think about her and her loss frequently. I'm just some weird lady on the internet but I am sad she's been called to bear such a difficult experience- he was WAY too young to leave this life.

I am so going to have to think about this.

My first suggestion would be

Garage Goddess on the Move

I'm not creative enough to come up with something, but that's a VERY generous prize!

How about The Lisa Loo-ny Bin?

=)

Ooh- Sue's is good, I was thinking along the same lines though how about the Lisa & the Loo-natics or Is that a garage door on my garage? You know just to keep it similar-ish.

I hope you find the perfect new name for your blog- and that you keep making me pee my pants laughing with your hilariousness!

Dang--I totally suck at titles, but I WANT that gift card!

Maybe if I sleep on it, I'll come up with something brilliant come morning.

Okay, so while I'm still trying to outdo what the others have done, I announced the contest on my blog.

Or, rather, it's scheduled to be announced in tomorrow's post.

Hahaha! I like "Talking Amongst Myself" - was that Tammy's? I'll give it a think and see if I can come up with something of my own, but you've got some good ones here. I liked Sue's "Loo-ny Bin" too.

Lisa Loo said...

Ooo--there are some really great ideas on here! I knew you guys were the go to people for this job!

Yes--a plug on your sidebar or anywhere counts--I just want lots of ideas Tammy--

Thanx Cynthia for your thoughts for Tae--she is hanging in there. She just called me last night and said she joined a Zumba(?) class and it was really helping with getting her out of the house and the endorphin thing.

Thanx to you all! Keep 'em coming!

Came here via Annette and have been skimming through your blog and enjoying it (you) muchly.

I like the line you have in your sidebar...

Sanity is Vastly Overrated

Annette does not lie - she posted about it... thus I'm here trying to out-title the world... because I love me some shopping (aw shucks, and that right after reading a word nerd post... don't tell Annette)

I just simplified my book review blog title and made it (finally) match the URL... and hey Lisa Lou Who is cute... what about

Lisa Lou Who who's just Twenty Two

hey, do I get points for flattery?

I have to admit I will miss the old title of your blog. I never really knew that you had a garage door on your ceiling for real and I just thought it was a super clever and fun blog title.

I will put on my thinking cap!

LKP said...

what about
"Every Loo Down in Loo-ville..."

finishing that thought ala Grinchy style would be:
"Every Loo Down in Loo-ville Loved Christmas a lot, but the Grinch, who lived just north of Loo-ville did not!"

hee hee....i think i'll go watch that now. yummy! i LOVE fall cause i don't feel as bad about watching christmas movies then!!!

have a great rest of your night.

I agree with Cherie that you could just keep the old name. It could have figurative meanings as well as literal...In fact, seems like that's how most of us had interpreted (and related to) it.

I guess my favorite thing would be for you to keep the old name. Barring that, I'll stick with...

The Lisa Loo-ny Bin.

=)

PS. Whatever you call yourself, I'll be here!

LKP said...

here's your new blog name:

"IS THAT A WINDOW IN MY CLOSET?!"

(i give this one cause i'm totally not only envious of your walk-in closet, but the fact you have a beautiful window in there as well!!!! seriously parade of homes-worthy right there! on one parade of homes in rexburg one year there was a lovely walk-in closet that's as big as my current master bedroom....which i guess isn't as big as i'd thought in walk-in closet terms. in addition to also having a glorious window in it, it also had a stacked washer & dryer right there! in the closet too! oh the coziness of the idea. Luv luv luv!)

Annette Lyon said...

Okay, so here's a sad attempt, but your last post sparked it:

Loo's New Homestead

Closet Space: bring a flashlight cause we're gonna be here a while.

Lisa Louville: bring a flashlight cause we're gonna be here a while.

{hahaha}

Uh.... I'm thinking still. Later!a

"Why I get up in the morning......"
that is on your sidebar and would be a good title.

here's another:
White Trash with honey! (i don't think you're white trash...it's a take off a toby keith song- white trash with money)

k- my brain is a rollin'. i'll be back with more!

and another:
if i were to re-name my blog (which i'm not) i would call it-
"Notes To My Children"

Congrats on winning In the Gutter's giveaway. I just found you through her blog.

Also, congrats on the new home!

In regards to a name for your new blog and the fact that having a toilet for everyone excites you (and who can blame you!)I thought of these two:

A Throne for All
From One Throne to Six

or...
Elbow Room and Then Some

Ok, I'm back. I've plugged your contest, now here are my ideas:

"The Door Collector" (you know, to go with the beautiful doors you now want to be buried with).
Um yeah-- it only gets worse and it's taken me all day...

"Lisa's Loo-ney Asylum"

"My Garage Door Is Missing"

"Lisa Loo That's Who"

"Where WE Begin...Again"

"If You Need Me, I'll Be in the Closet" (wow, can you imagine the kind of hits you'd get on that blog name?)

"I Need A SatNav to Get Around My House"

"'Home' Really Has Nothing To Do With Walls"

"Just More Reasons to Stay Home"

"Home is Where I Want to Be"

"A Place For Everything"

"Send Out the Search Party, I'm Lost in My House"

You know when the inspiration is just.not.coming and you keep trying? I give you proof that you should just walk away.
I hope you find something great!!
