How Real Men are heating their homes this winter---

I put my husband on a plane today. Sad times. So here is a tribute to the man I love and all the hard work he does for his family--in Alaska and here at home. What a guy--he's my hero---

Just read this after I posted it--

Yes--that is a real chainsaw

Yes--that is real wood

and yes--you should not try this at home--especially if your name is Lisa and you are still mastering the walking and chewing gum thing--another post--another day--trust me--

Sorry he's gone - hopefully not for too long. Aren't we lucky to have such great husbands (even though I'm slightly annoyed with mine right now). LOL.

Lisa got her a manly man :-) Goofing aside I hope he's not gone for too long. If you get lonely though let me know we'll find some crazy thing to do like cyber toilet paper somebody's blog. I don't know how to do that yet but we can figure it out :-)

I miss having a fireplace and the smell of fresh cut wood! It is a ton of hard work to get wood ready for the winter and I'm glad you appreciate all he does. I didn't know he worked in Alaska. Hope he doesn't have to go for too long of a stretch at a time. Hope Kelly is mending well.

I just saw your joke about the dead blonde in the closet on another blog and I laughed myself silly. The funniest part was what you put at the end "I kill myself!" You crack me up!

What's he do in Alaska?

I got scared looking at the pics with the chainshaw and I normally love that stuff. It looked way too close to his foot:)

That song from Footloose by Bonnie Tyler is going through my head: "Where have all the good men gone...." The 'I Need a Hero' song.

Hang on to that one girlfriend! You definitely found a 'real man'.

WOW! We had a neighbor that would take the cities huge logs and split them by hand! I'm in awe of men like this! My hubby COULD. And if we had to WOULD. But only if we had too. Kudos to your hubby! I hope the time goes fast for you:)

How long is he gone for???

Is he gone for long? Did you tell us he was leaving?! I'm reading backwards, so maybe I'll answer my own questions.

I'll join you on staying away from limb-eating power tools.
