Bibbidi Bobbidi Birthday Boo!

Once upon a time, in a land called Louisiana, in the year nineteen hundred and ninety-three, a beautiful princess was born, and the first thing her father was heard to say was, "My, what a LARGE mouth she has dear!" And then, they named her Kelly Ann but called her Boo.

And the child grew and she took her first step and..............

................................. had her first cake.

And when she was happy...the world was full of sunshine and cuteness and when she was cross.........
...............her subjects would run and hide in terror!!!!!!!!

And the child grew..................

And grew........................................................................

And grew............................................

Until it was February the first of the year two thousand and nine--and behold--turned herself 16 and her Mother was heard to declare...."she will not grow another year older---ever" and thus it was.

Oh my Kelly Belly Boo--I cannot believe you are 16. You are so extraordinary, so beautiful, inside and out. You are the child who most thinks like me and shares my love of books and music. I have cherished this time we have had and look forward to all the future memories we will make and share. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOO!!!!

lisa-
I hopped over to Boo's site to wish her belated bday and see that you are home schooling. did you mention that before,'cuz if so I guess i missed it...hope that is going OK. My kids look at that as the ultimate punishment!! but I think it has its purposes.. I agree with the assessment of some locals - they give homeschool a bad name, but there's some of those in every type of group of people. We are waiting for our next snowstorm..keep you posted!!

I like your whole shoot first ask questions later aproach. We live right in the middle of the city. I can walk to the Temple. The neighbor behind us had a cow when Papa was shooting squirells, she thought they were so cute, she was feeding them, we were killing them. They were eating my garden. Then the deer came down from the canyon, yes Papa was shooting them w/ his BB gun. Neighbors were in horror. They were eating everything in sight. Our neighbors down the street were feeding THEM. Maybe we should shoot our neighbors.

Orzo

Cook the orzo and set aside.

In a pan press a couple cloves of garlic in a pan with a little bit of olive oil (dont cook the garlic too long or it will get bitter)

add a bag of baby spinach, cook until it is soft, not like mush

add the orzo and mix

add a bag of parmesean cheese (not the type people put on top of spag the real cheese)

top with tomotoes and serve!

Lisa....Guess What??? Oh go on guess...done guessing yet???? Well Lisa my dear, YOU WON the contest over at my blog. I know I was supposed to post the winner on Wednesday, but life got in the way. Anywhoo....send me your mailing address (deserthenatgmaildotcom) so I can get your goodies mailed off to you. Hopefully I will get it done before I leave on Sunday for Las Vegas.

Happy Sweet 16 to your beautiful daughter.....I can't believe how much we have in common, right down to birthdays for our children. Countrychick turns 16 on Monday, but we celebrated her birthday last night due to the fact that we will be gone on her actual BIG day.

Okay, gotta get back to work. Happy Friday to you and Congrats on your win......=D

What a lovely post. Beautiful photos - and words. My eldest daughter is thirteen and I can't believe the time is going so fast. Indeed it seems to be speeding up and I'm half excited and half terrified!

She is beautiful! It's so wonderful to have a daughter that is like you in many ways. You are a lucky Momma. Now post about her dating escapades. You are letting her date and not lock her up in a tower, right? I won't blame you if you've thought about it. She is too darn cute for just any dorky teen age boy.
