Everyone's a little……….

My dear sweet Kelly, my #3, got her driver’s license on Friday and this crunchy experience on Saturday. THANK HEAVENS there were no injuries (other than metal and plastic ones…..we told the younger children that the van is “in a better place”) and she is alright. It could have been so much worse and she learned how quickly things can happen and that it doesn’t have to be a high speed chase to do serious car damage. The mama is okay too—I felt a little like this at first..

……but am doing much better. Sorry for the poor quality of photos---they are from my cell, and the one of the 2 girls was taken while they were watching “The Knowing”---really. I will be doing a better update soon. Hope all 10 of you who still check my blog are healthy and happy---I need to do some catching up!

Oh my that has to be the scariest thing for a new driver! Make sure she gets right back behind the wheel.

Glad she is fine. Looks like you will be getting a new vehicle though - that could be a good thing???

Hope the week goes better!

So glad everyone is okay. You know, I had a car accident when I was a new driver, too. And you're right. It did really teach me something about being very, very careful.

Whew. Close call.

Ouch!!

So glad that Kelly...and momma are alright. Those first days of driving are scary for everyone. Tell her, unfortunately, it's happened to the best of us!

So glad everybody was ok, well besides the minivan anyway. How horrible for her. Not a great way to break in your drivers license.
Hugs!!!

That looks scary! I'd be afraid of driving after that. I am so glad no one got hurt.

Oh nooooooo, Lisa, I'm so sorry. I've been there and done that with two of my kids. One of them TWICE but at least the second time he was sitting still at a stop sign and a car on the highway caused a wreck that involved four cars and nearly totalled ours. Nicholas was okay in that one. I'm sure she'll be a much more careful driver now. I worry every day bz Kaje' drives about 5-7 miles in to school and home every day. She also drives to and from work and she's working almost every night. I worry bz she has to cross a busy four-lane highway to get both places. You definitely need a break right now. I'm sending you a huge cyberhug! {{{{HUGS}}} Me

There is nothing so traumatic as your first accident. Poor her. Poor Mom. Poor minivan.

YIKES!!! And so glad this story didnt have a different ending. Sending postive thoughts to all of you.

I was in a car accident in high school...fairly bad...less than one mile from my house. My mom got that horrid middle of the night phone call. She was distraught for months and still tenses up if the conversation ever comes up. How scary for a Mom!

Ack! I am so sorry! If it makes her feel any better, within 2 weeks of getting my Driver's Licence I hit the car of the Stake President's wife in a grocery store parking lot. Sigh.

Glad everyone is okay!

My Nascar turns 16 tomorrow-and I'm very nervous about the whole driving thing starting up again. Yes-I made it through with Elder and Casanova...but, we are heading into Fall and Winter!!

Haven't heard from you in awhile. I truly hope things are going better up there than this last post. I hope you're healthy and smiling too. :) Me

I just had time to check out your blog again today. Poor girl. So happy that no one was hurt. I hope that she is back in the driver's seat again and able to go on with living and driving.

Lisa, I'm worried about you. Are you okay? How are the kids. Do you have transportation now? Let us know how you're doing even if it's only a "I'm fine" sentence! Cindy

Oh my! I'm glad she is ok! She needs to stay waaaaaaaaaaay back away from everyone else. I keep telling my daughter that you just don't know what the person in front of you is going to do at the last second and you need time to account for their stupidity. :o) I hate driving.

Glad everyone was okay! That is really all that matters anyway! My daughters friend drove into the side of the local feed store last month, right after getting her permit. My daughter was with them at the time....a scary event for sure, but everyone was fine...Except for the car!

I so feel your pain. My son wrecked my dream car last May. I saved for 25 years, had it 2 months (didn't even get my personalized plates on). Been in the shop 6 months. Your background is beautiful! found you on MMB
