Anxiety is a cruel mistress.....

Just wanted to say that---

I may have been exaggerating just a titch the other day when I was crying conspiracy and mass exodus.

I may be just a tad insecure and anxious.

There may have been only 2 people on my bloglist that left.

They may not have locked all the buckles on my straight jacket and under medicated me that day.

But your responses have been most gratifying and the nice people here at the home may be a hint of happy that I have stopped bouncing off these lovely rubber walls.

Thay's why we're here, to keep each other from bouncing off the walls and making sure the straight jacket is on straight.

I'm glad you've stopped bouncing, but Beck (from "Frog and Toad Are Still Friends") just posted that she will be taking a prolonged break from blogging...

I've only been a blogger since August, but I'm beginning to think people go through burnout and have to leave for a while to chill out on the whole blog scene.

So far, though, I have no signs whatever of burnout. I am still loving it.

Ha! I'm still with you and haven't left. You're a cutie-pa-tootie-pie. Have a great evening and I'm glad they didn't have to drag you away in a straight jacket. Lol.

Glad you are back.......that thing called anxiety, it stinks doesn't it? See... if you do it my way, just don't have too many friends and your expectations are so lo that there isn't alot of that. Hugs

Merrianne is back too! Although Jan's blog still updates on my blog roll, but is still private...that's not even fair. LOL!

I consider sneaking off regularly because the guilt of not replying to people while trying to live life gets overwhelming. But I have met some of the greatest, coolest people out here and that would be really hard to walk away from. I may just give up sleep so that I can fit everything in.

Are you sharing your meds and rubber walls?

I just read what you wrote on Sher's blog about Mr Bean. I had totally forgotten about him until reading that! I used to love watching him. So so funny. I'm going to have to look for him.

Scooter would be honored if you try her recipe! We share a lot of them in blogland. Jessica's recipe is different. Just click on her link and she added the link to the recipe in her latest post! They're both really good cooks. I'll have to do a post on how I learned woodworking. It was quite the adventure! Maybe after my special project is posted I can do that. Talk to you soon! Kiefer is on TV!! LOL!

Hello, Lisa! Thanks for dropping by and saying "Hi!" It sounds like you and I have a lot in common, not the least of which the whole piano teaching thing. I just started blogging in November; in fact, I haven't even added pictures or a cute banner or a pretty temple background like SOME bloggers I could mention. My point is, I'm not going anywhere any time soon. Even if it's just you and me in blogworld, I'm sure we could keep each other entertained...

I don't know how I missed this post the other day.

One thing they taught us in an anxiety management class was the concept called 'excessive sense of self importance'. Now, that sounds like a really arrogant thing but it's not that. It's just that anxiety causes you to think that everyone is looking at you or actions are somehow related to you. In reality, 95% of the time, their actions are related to something else.

For example, one of the people you probably 'lost' is someone I lost too. Why? Because that person decided to either take a break, make a break for it or quit blogging. A decision they made for themselves that has nothing to do with either one of us.

Glad you are still here and kickin'. You were one of the first people who extended a hand of friendship to me in blogland so you've got a special place in my heart.

That was bouncing off the the rubber walls? I thought you were pretty tame.

I have a straight jacket in every color to go with all my outfits. They are really very calming. I enjoy the new style with the double enforce Velcro clasp. Have you tried them? M
