Our family has been on vacation in Idaho this week.
Its a hard thing but we have reached down deep and found the strength to power through.
Our #2 daughter had to go home early to report back to the job thing.
The whole ‘responsible’ thing.
(she gets it from her Dad)
Guess what she found in the mail???!!
HER MISSSION CALL!!!!! (I just spelled mission with 3 s’ and it did not spell correct me—?????)
GUESS WHERE SHE IS GOING???????!!!!!!!
Nope.
Nope.
Oh, okay.
She is going to…….
For those who are not Mormon-- she will be leaving in May for 18 months to go to Nashville to serve and share her knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ with others as she represents our church.
She is very excited and nervous at the moment but at least will be able to sleep. The suspense was killing her.
I on the other hand am calm and cool and collected. I am not worried because I am just going to go with her you see. Problem solved.
ACCKKK!! My baby is leaving me!!!! I don’t take enough medication for this!! How do the rest of you missionary Mom’s do this???!!

Someday I would love to serve a couples mission and I would love to go down south. Nashville would be great!
Congratulation!

Congratulations! It's a very stressful time having a child on a mission but it's also a very wonderful time. She'll be fantastic!
My sister lived outside of Nashville and really liked it there. I loved visiting there too. I loved the rolling green hills and all the farms.
I don't know how missionary moms do it. I know, let's make a pact. I'll follow your daughter around and you follow my son around. Deal?
What an exciting mission to serve! Congrats to all of you. She is in for quite an adventure.
=)
Look at it like this Lisa- She's going to The South so she's going foreign (it really is a foreign country) but she'll still be state side and you can send packages and email! Congrats Nat!
She'll probably come back with a Southern Accent! My daughter went to Austria for her eighteen months, but she had been away for two years in college, so I was kinda used to her not being home. I loved getting her interesting letters though and she wrote me a lot more of them than she did when she was in school.
NICE! Nashville is the place to be, so I hear. I hope she likes Country music, or at the very Neil Diamond. Wait, is Neil Diamond from Nashville?
Congratulations! That is such exciting news! I bet she'll have some wonderful experiences down there in the bible belt!!
Who Hoot!! Congrats to you. How awesome is that?? Will she learn Tennessean in the MTC? ;-)
How do we do it? We cry. A lot. And write angry ranting entries in our journals. (you didn't hear that from me) And then we reconcile, which is what we meant to do all along, and we camp out by the mailbox and by the phone twice a year. You'll love the change in her when she returns. I'm sure she's lovely now, but she'll be loveliER and, most of all, APPRECIATIVE. I will post my big news later. Stay tuned. We'll grab our hankies together.
Congratulations!!! Big news!
HOW EXCITING!!! NASHVILLE would be sooooooooo fun!!! CONGRATS!!!
